New Joint Program assessment guide, and calculation of GPA for credit from previous studies

The admissions team has recently reviewed our Joint Program Assessment Guide and we have begun implementing a new joint program assessment guideline for applications made for 2022 and onward.

Please see below a summary of the major changes:

• For 2+2 joint programs, the calculation will be primarily done based on the foreign institution studies.

• If over 50% of studies were credited towards a degree, or in the case of 3+1 or 4+0 joint program, calculation of all units of study undertaken as part of the degree (including credits received) will be performed.

Applicants are still required to provide all academic transcripts for all studies. They are also required to provide a joint program letter or study certificate that is issued by the registrar office of the degree-awarding institution. This letter must confirm the course structure and medium of instruction.

For any conditional offers processed prior to the implementation of these changes, we will, upon receiving the final documents, finalise the application in accordance with the new guidelines. We are currently reviewing all rejected applications and we will notify you if any students will be eligible for an offer in the coming weeks.
