$25 million fund to support Deakin's international students

We are pleased to write to you today with news that Deakin University has developed a dedicated fund of $25 million to support our international students during the challenging times of COVID-19.

This initiative will support international students at Deakin who are experiencing hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Vice-Chancellor Professor Iain Martin said 'Many international students, through no fault of their own, are struggling with the costs of living and studying.

'With very limited access to Government assistance, our additional hardship support will prevent students from falling through the cracks during the difficult months ahead. We stand shoulder-to shoulder with our international students,' Vice-Chancellor Martin said.
