RMIT University student Pakawut Amarinrat is set to head a new Thailand branch of the German automotive design and modelling company, am Surf Martin Gabler.
Mr Amarinrat worked on conceptual and production designs for major car companies, providing virtual rendering and physical rendering of car designs to clients. For him, it was the opportunity of a lifetime.
“Since I was a kid I have always wanted to be an automotive designer. I have lots and lots of my own designs, I would always sketch them by hand using a pencil whenever and wherever I could find a piece of paper,” said Mr Amarinrat.
“When I had the chance to work with am Surf, I worked with passion and strong drive. For me, it didn’t feel like working, it was like I was having a lot of fun. And when people work with love or passion, not because of money or promotion, the quality of work is always extraordinary.”
